Leo Roy Beard

I came up to Dallas last Thursday and had planned on coming back on Saturday, just wanted to get out of town for a couple of days. After getting here we found out that my Grandfather, who had been quite ill the past couple of months, had gone into cardiac arrest and the results were not looking good. He was in an induced coma for a day and then brought out of it Friday morning, but sadly he had no brain activity. He passed away Saturday night at 10:30 surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was the only Grandpa I have really ever known and will greatly be missed. We will attend his funeral on Wednesday in Austin, Texas, and though it is a sad time, it will bring together all of his family in one place where we can rejoice the wonderful life he has lived and the lives he has touched.

"Don't cry for me. There could hardly be a better life than that which mine has been. Starting with wonderful parents and three older siblings (later two younger siblings), I have been blessed with an abundant and happy life, including two wonderful marriages, three children of my own, four step-children, and so many friends, including professional associates throughout the world. The world has been full of good for me. My cup runneth over a thousand fold!" -Roy Beard

Maddy at an indoor park.

Olivia going down the slide. She looks so old in this picture to me!

Maddy playing her Nintendo DS. Thomas loves to just sit there and watch her play.

I let Maddy and Thomas pick out an animal at Build-a-bear. Maddy got a pink monkey and named her Sparkles. Thomas got a Koala Bear and named him Diego. They both have loved their animals and sleep with them every night.

Fun at Grandmas

One of the grandkids favorite toys at Grandma's house is the marble toy.
Olivia was very excited when Grandma let her play the piano.

Micha's Birthday.........Long overdue!!

Micha's birthday was a couple of weeks ago and for some reason I never posted it. We went out to dinner at Hunans with the Beaty's, Rogers, and Harwards. We had a great time. We ordered a couple of PooPoo Platters, Micha's favorite thing(b/c he can play with fire and the name). Then we came back to the house for Cold Stone Cake and a round of BANG. Happy Late Birthday Micha!! Sorry for the late post:)

Girls will be Girls!

Olivia's new favorite thing to do!! She spent about 30 minutes taking everything out of her bottom drawer. I found it quite cute to watch. I'm not sure why she doesn't have a shirt on.

My Birthday!

I had a great birthday this year! Much better then last years when it snowed and ruined my birthday. My birthday started Friday morning with an hour long massage. It was absolutely wonderful and so relaxing! I felt like a new woman after it. Micha surprised me with my present Friday night, he got me a brand new system for my car. I got a new car about a month ago, a Ford Explorer, and the system sucked. I love to have my music loud so I was frustrated at the crappy system that came in the car. The best part of the new system was it came with an Ipod plug-in. I hate those stupid converters that use the radio, they are awful!! Anyways, I was so excited, it was the perfect gift! Friday night we went to dinner at Kobes, a hibachi grill, and I cleaned my plate and had wished I ordered double fried rice b/c it was so good. Oh well, what can ya do. Saturday we got up and went to Chilis for lunch and then Micha drove me around while I did some shopping. It was such a beautiful day that he was happy sitting in the car listening to music while I shopped. We went home and they surprised me with a cake from Cold Stone. All I can say is YUM!!! It was the cake batter flavor, my favorite, with red velvet cake. I had a great birthday and was happy to spend it with my family. Thanks Micha, Love ya!!!

Just some Pics

Today, Maddy came up to me and asked if she could go get her nails done at the place where I get mine done. She had a little bit of money and she said that is how she wanted to spend it. I told her we could go and she was so excited. She kept saying, "I am so excited, I've never gotten my nails done." She ended up getting a manicure and a pedicure. She picked hot pink for her toes and bright blue for her fingers and got flowers on them.
One of Olivia's favorite thing to do is look out the back door.(Ignore how nasty and dirty the window is, b/w Olivia and Winston, there is no keeping it clean)

We looked out the window on Saturday night and huge snow flakes were falling down. Maddy went outside and made a few snowballs with what we had.
Maddy is a corn freak. I think she ate 4 ears this night.
Olivia is becoming a fan also.
Here is that stupid straw hat again, just turned another way.
