We are having our first disagreement.  She wants to suck on that little thumb and we don’t want her too, even though she looks so cute!

We can put her anywhere and she is happy and will go to sleep. 

She is an angel when she is sleeping and awake.

This sweet little girls melts my heart every day!  She is the happiest, sweetest baby.  I have been amazed at how my life hasn’t been turned upside down with a newborn.  I am able to get everything done  when I need to because she is happy 99% of the time(I can brag about this because my first born was the complete opposite and was attached to me for the first year!)  Sometimes I have stop myself from the cooking, cleaning, and running errands and take the time to snuggle and hold her.  The time is flying by and I just need her to stay like this for longer.  She is talking and cooing when we talk to her and she is FULL of sweet smiles!

Ellie’s Blessing

Ellie was blessed on February 26, 2012

 

She was given a beautiful blessing  by her father.  Both of her Grandpas and 5 of her uncles were able to stand in the blessing circle.

She wore a dress that is nearly 60 years old that was made for and worn by her Grandma Bailey on her blessing day.

 

It is such a sweet and beautiful little dress for a sweet and beautiful little girl.

Ellie’s future boyfriend was there for her special day too.

Cole and Ellie are 5 days apart.  They were not interested in getting their pictures taken!

6 WEEKS OLD

Ellie has been such a good baby!!  She is very calm and easy going so far.  She rarely cries and seems to be content wherever she is.  She is already getting on a schedule during the night (with the exception of last night, gas was not our friend last night!).  She typically sleeps from 9-2 and then gets up again around 5:30.  She is my first baby to sleep this good at night so early on.  Maddy and Olivia are great with her and love showing her attention.  Livy will hold her for about 2 seconds and say, “Me done, her not like me.”  We love our little Ellie!!

 

Ellie’s Newborn Photos

Sorry but this is going to be a picture overload.  We did Ellie’s newborn pictures when she was 6 days old.  My friend Andrea took them and did such an AMAZING job!  (You can check out her other work Here) I am so happy with how they turned out and I am having a hard time deciding on my favorites.  The session started a little rough.  We stripped her down to do the naked shots.  First she peed everywhere and then she was wide awake and very wiggly.  So, I fed her and got her to sleep.  Once she was asleep, she stayed asleep the entire time.

While we were in the hospital, there was a photograph in our room of a baby with these big flowers on her bloomers.  I knew I wanted some pictures like it so I told Andrea about it and she delivered perfectly.  I LOVE how they turned out!
