8 Months Old

I am a few days late but what can you do? Olivia is moving right along discovering new things everyday. She started army crawling about 2 weeks ago and is now into everything(oh the joys of mobile babies!) Olivia also discovered how to pull herself up in her crib. Her 2 bottom teeth have come in. She learned how to clap and is now waving "bye, bye". She babbles "dada and mama". I'm not convinced she knows what she is saying but it's still nice to hear. She is a very vocal baby and you always know she is in the room. She also has a new love..........Baby Einstein(this is my new love as well b/c it keeps her entertained when needed). Her favorite is Baby Numbers. She also started eating more table foods. She loves potatoes and green beans. We are having issues sleeping at night b/c she thinks she needs to wake up 2-3 times a night to eat!!!! I hate to break it to her that she's not so little anymore and those chubby thighs and Buddha belly would suggest she is getting enough to eat during the day. I'm not sure why she started this but I am not enjoying it at all. Hopefully it will end soon but I'm not really counting on it!

She didn't want to cooperate today when taking pictures. She is a crazy girl!
These are the towels I made for the girls bathroom a couple of weeks ago. I think they turned out way cute and plan on making some more.

She loves to eat!!!

New Years............Better Late then Never!!

We had a couple of friends over on New Years Eve. We ate way too much, played some games, and talked. It was nice to ring in the New Year with friends and family.
Clare, Chris, and Baxter.
The Boys playing video games.
Jenn, Maggie, Pam, Clare, and Jenny ringing in the New Year.
Baxter(Chris and Clare's dog) was pretty tired after a long night with Winston.
Winston was pooped too.
Olivia and Maggie playing together.
The girls didn't make it to midnight.....thank goodness!!
It was funny b/c I cut Maddy's hair that day without telling Micha(one of those dad's who wants their little girls hair to be long) and was pretty sure he wouldn't notice. Yeah, I was right, in fact he came up to Maddy and said, "Wow Maddy, I think your hair is getting longer!" Ha, I just laughed and told him I had just cut it! He couldn't get mad b/c he had just made that comment:)

Happy Birthday Madison!

I can't believe that my little girl is 5 years old!! It has gone by way too fast. Madison has grown into such a beautiful and intelligent little girl. She keeps us on our toes and is always the life of the party. She started dance this year and absolutely loves it. She loves to learn, she is always asking questions and wanting to know about everything. She loves going to Primary at church and is very enthusiastic about it. She has been a wonderful big sister to Olivia loves to help out with her. Madison is very eager to start Kindergarten this year and is always asking when she gets to go. She is counting down the days until she gets to go to school.

Maddy was very excited about turning five this year. She said this was her best birthday ever! Sophie spent the night with her last night and they got to stay up late watching movies and being silly. Maddy got to open a few presents this morning and then we went to the Jump Zone to play. I told Madison that she could go anywhere she wanted for dinner(I assumed she would say Senor Tequilas or Mc Donalds). She thought about it and then said, "I want to go to the noodle place with shrimp." Translation=Macarroni Grill. This girl can eat the heck out of some pasta!! So we went to Macarroni Grill and she immediately told the waitress it was her birthday but her daddy was in Utah. She then ordered Penne Rustica(by far the best choice). We ate our dinner and then they brought out a huge piece of chocolate cake with a candle in it. A guy sang happy birthday to her in Italian and after he was done she said"That was pretty silly", and then blew out her candle. We had a great day and I look forward to celebrating many more. She is now looking forward to her Birthday Party in a couple of weeks with all her friends.(We had to delay the party until the end of the month since Micha was out of town, and we needed a little time to recover from Christmas!)
