Snow Day

Here in Arkansas it doesn't snow so we don't have the snow essentials, like a sled, so we have to be creative. Micha is using a tub lid for the little kids, it worked pretty well. Maddy got pretty mad because she kept falling off and couldn't make it quite as far as the other kids, so then she would just lay there in the snow.




Winston loved playing outside in the snow but every time a car would drive by he would run and chase it. Listen very closely and you can hear Maddy screaming in the background, she was afraid he was going to get ran over. We put him inside after he chased this car.

Birthday and Snow

Happy Birthday to me!! This is definitely an unusual birthday for me this year because I woke up to it snowing outside!! Its March 7 and it is snowing, that is just crazy and it kind of stinks. Luckily its not as bad as they thought it was going to be but it still puts a damper on my birthday plans, like shopping and going out to lunch!! Micha made me a ham and cheese omlette for breakfast, it was his first one ever and it was way good. Maddy gave me her present, some black sparkle shoes. She picked them out all by herself. They went into the shoe store and the lady asked if she could help them and Maddy said "I'm buying my mommy a birthday present" She runs down the isle, saw the shoes and said"OH, these are perfect for mommy."
By the way we are saying that I am 25!!!!

Crazy Haired Maddy

Maddy and Micha were playing parachute with our blanket one day and we were cracking up because of her hair. Micha took Winston to get groomed last week and told him to cut his hair really short. Apparently its called the "field cut". Well his hair was pretty long so when we picked him up we couldn't quit laughing because he looked so funny. YOU really can't tell in this picture just how short it is. Micha said we will stick to the spaniel cut but I think I like it better now.

Rascal Flatts Concert

As part of my Valentine's Gift, Micha got me Rascal Flatt's tickets. They are definitely one of my favorite bands. It was one of the best concerts that I have been to they are awesome performers!! Kelly Pickler opened for them and now I want to download some of her songs. I love going to concerts even though we always get crappy seats up in the nose bleed section. I think Micha secretly likes going to all my concerts even though he's really not into country. He was singing along with their song, "What hurts the most", he just needs to come out of the "country fan closet"!!

Valentine Dance

We went to the ward Valentine dance last Friday. Micha and Maddy had a lot of fun dancing together. They did the "Cotton Eye Joe" and the "ChaCha" line dance, it was pretty fun watching them. Maddy is already asking when the next dance is.
After the dance, Micha let Maddy drive around the church parking lot. She might have enjoyed that more than the dance!

A Day at the Park

Micha and Maddy were seesawing with Uncle Bud.
Thomas was down for the weekend. Him and Maddy made perfect seesaw partners.

It was really beautifule weather for about 4 days here, so we had to take advantage of it. Maddy has loved being able to play outside and go to the park after being stuck inside for weeks.

Maddy's Hair Cut

She was glued to the TV the whole time she got her hair cut.
I finally talked Maddy into cutting her hair. She wants it to be super long like Rapunzel, so she hasn't wanted to get it cut. I guess I caught her in a good mood the other day and she cooperated very well. I think she looks super cute and much older! Notice she isn't "posing" in this picture, that too was a miracle!!
