We went to the spray park.
Maddy put on a show for David and Gabby.
Aunt Jenn and Olivia
Aunt Trish finally got to meet Olivia.

Trish and I made a quick trip to Dallas to see Marji and the kids.
We went bowling.

We went to the zoo.

Maddy and Gabby trying to go to sleep.
The girls hanging out at mom's house.
Olivia and Maggie loved each other!
Playing the Wii. Gabby in her natural state:)
Olivia and the twins-Kaylee and Matthew.

It was a great week with Trish, Jenny and the kids. We stayed very busy trying to keep all the kids happy. You forget how the kids can be best friends one minute and fighting the next. Gabby liked to ask Maddy "Are you my best friend?" many times a day and depending on Madison's mood she would reply "yes" or "no". And when the answer was no Gabby became very sad and upset and wouldn't be happy until Maddy changed her mind. Maggie was quite taken by Olivia. She would get so happy every time she saw Olivia, it was pretty cute! The best part of the week was the Girl's Night Out!! Micha watched the little girls while we enjoyed dinner and a movie. It was wonderful!! We came home to the house still standing and nobody bleeding!! All in all it was a fun week!

4 Months Old

Olivia was 4 months old on last Thursday. She weighs 13 lbs 5 oz and is 24 inches long. She is getting chubbier by the day and we love it. She is rolling over like crazy now. She has also started reaching for things and wants to put everything in her mouth, especially people's fingers. She has started this little scream/squeal that I find very funny. It is very easy to get her to laugh and she still loves to "talk". She is such a happy baby!

Maddy fed Olivia her first cereal.

6 Year Anniversary

I ordered a Oreo Cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory for Micha. We don't have one anywhere around here so they shipped it to him. Micha loves cheesecake and loves Oreos, so he pretty much loved it! They have the best cheesecakes ever!
Well, my gift didn't quite compare to what Micha got me(they never do). Last week he suprised me with a new bedroom set. It is absolutely gorgeous and I almost cried!! I have been wanting a bedroom set since we got married and I guess 6 years of nagging finally paid off:) I haven't taken pics yet b/c we only have the bed set up(we have been very busy with company this past week) and the armoire and nightstands are quite ginormous and very heavy so we need a little more man power. Well, I figured that was definitely enough of an anniversary gift(yes, even for me) and wasn't expecting anything else. Micha suprised me again with a beautiful hotel room without the kids! The pic above is the hotel room and there were rose petals all over the room. Sometimes it's wonderful to just be out of your house and out of the "mom" mode, if even just for a night!! Well, I couldn't quite make it the whole night without my little Olivia, I had to go and pick her up(she is only 4 months). It was still a wonderful and unexpected night that I needed very badly! Micha is such a sweet and wonderful husband. He loves to spoil me and does a wonderful job. He is a great husband who puts up with all my crap and nagging. He treats me like a queen and I am so lucky to have been married to him for 6 years. I love you Micha!!

Piercings, Parks, and Sleeping

We went Saturday and got Olivia's ears pierced. Some people might find this cruel but I think its better to do it when they won't remember it and it won't be so traumatic for them. Plus I think it is super cute. There was a little girl, about 5 years old, getting her ears done when we got there. She had dragged her mom there and begged to get her ears pierced. They got her up in the chair and it took 20 minutes of talking and bribing to get one ear done. She started screaming and crying about how bad it hurt and didn't want to do the other ear. While her mother was trying to convince her to do the other ear they did Olivia's. Micha held her while I looked the other way. They did both ears at the same time(by our request) so it was done with in just a few seconds. She cried pretty hard but just for a few minutes, we had a bottle ready to soothe her. The pic above is on the ride home, I think she was a little mad at me b/c she wouldn't look at me the whole ride home:( She does look pretty sad in that picture.

She was back to her happy self later and I think she forgave me:)

We went to the park Saturday morning before the rain started up. Maddy and Micha had a fun time playing. Olivia and I observed.

Just a cute pic of the girls in their pj's.

I thought she looked too cute with her hands behind her head like this. How sweet is she?
She rolled over for the first time(back to stomach) on Thursday. Now everytime we lay her down she is rolling all over the place. No more leaving her on the couch and ottoman! Why do they have to grow up so fast?

"Can we go to Disneyland?"

Maddy has been talking a lot about Disneyland and how much she wants to go. So the other day we were driving and she was asking if we could go and I told her we need to wait until Olivia is bigger. Maddy then says, "Are there Princesses at Disneyland?'' And I reply yes and she says, "then the Princesses can just hold Olivia and take care of her." So then I proceed to tell her that Disneyland is very expensive and we will have to start saving our money. That evening as Maddy was lying in bed she calls out to me and says, "Hey mom, I know how we can go to Disneyland!! You can get a job." She was as serious as can be. Micha and I were in the other room just looking at each other and shaking our heads. Micha found this very funny and commented, "Well, she does have a point." Why do little kids have to be so smart? I often think that kids are dumb and that I can always outsmart them. I am learning that this is not so. Maddy can come up with a logical solution to any excuse I give her!

Bad Hair Days

Olivia always has some pretty crazy hair going on. She was sporting a mohawk yesterday and most other days she just has a super cowlick. I guess I shouldn't complain too much b/c at least she still has some hair. I put her sitting up in her boppy today and she really liked being able to sit up and look around.
We made cookies the other day and Micha and Maddy thought they were pretty funny. Maddy wishes she could have eaten all that cookie dough!

Thanks Gustav!!!

So, this morning around six o'clock I awake to Micha jumping on me. I ask him what in the world he was doing jumping on us. He asked, "Did you not here that." I thought he was just referring to the thunder. So Micha got up to check things out and I thought nothing of it and was getting Olivia back to sleep. He comes back in and tells me that a tree fell on our house. Sure enough the huge pine tree(that has been needed to be cut down since we moved in) was lying on our house! The tree is actually on our neighbors property but has been hovering nicely over our house. It didn't come through the house but it immediately caused a huge leak in the hall bathroom.
